Mark has over 30 years of effective sales, operations, and supply chain leadership experience in the distribution business.

Prior to joining Raiven, Mark held various senior leadership positions for Staples Business Advantage– the contract division of office essentials giant Staples with revenues over $18B. Most recently, Mark was the National Sales Director of their $2B Facility Solutions division. In this role, he was responsible for driving overall revenue, margin, growth, and the direction of national vertical markets including: healthcare, education, state/local government, property management, and building service contractors. Mark’s national team was also responsible for the facility contracts and growth of all major GPO’s and cooperatives including: Vizient, HealthTrust, Premier, Sourcewell (formerly NJPA) and E&I. Under Mark’s leadership, his business development and account executive teams brought in and managed some of the largest and most prestigious healthcare IDN’s and property management companies nationally. Those companies included: Hospital Corporation of America (HCA), Community Health System (CHS), Trinity Health, CBRE, and JLL. Mark’s national teams consistently performed and exceeded plans with growth of 35%+ annually over the past 4 years.

Prior to Staples, Mark worked for Corporate Express– a $5.5B global office product, furniture, technology, print, and JanSan distributor– which Staples acquired in 2008. During his 20-year tenure at CE, Mark climbed the ranks, holding many leadership positions including Market Vice President. As Market VP, Mark had full P&L responsibility for one of the most productive and profitable divisions in CE’s history. He was responsible for leading all aspects of their $200+ million (350 employee) Mid-Atlantic division including: sales, margin, HR, recruitment, training, account acquisition and management, budgeting, forecasting, compensation, expense management, operating costs, and operating income.

Mark attended the University of Maryland where he studied Business Administration and is still a passionate Terps football and basketball fan. Mark has also completed many executive leadership courses and programs throughout his career.
